r e m e d y | turmeric tonic

the tonic

ton·ic (noun): a medicinal substance taken to give a feeling of vigor or well-being. (ie. medicine).

the remedy

Here, we have a beautiful anti-inflammatory, anti-depressent, detoxifying queen bee tonic on our hands.

Although the color of turmeric root is orange, the combination of the ginger, lemon and honey transforms the drink into a stunning yellow glow.

A little chakra love for you...

Through what I'm calling Chakra vision, the color yellow represents our solar plexus, or Manipura in sanskirt. The message related to Manipura is: You have the power to choose. When this particular chakra is strong and clear and vibrant, it reflects our ability to move forward in life with confidence and power; it reflects our humbling ability to make conscious choices. Another way to look at it is that it's also the center of our self-esteem. So any judgement or criticism on ourselves or even others depletes the Manipura. Real deal self-love and acceptance builds it back up to it's vibrant nature.

Manipura inquiring...

What do you choose? Do you choose healing?

Do you feel a sense of uplifting freedom when you make a conscious choice?

  • It's a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent
  • Natural liver detoxifier
  • May prevent or slow progression of Alzheimer's disease
  • Potent natural anti-inflammatory
  • Has long been used in Chinese medicine as a treatment for depression
  • Speeds up wound healing and assists in remodeling of damaged skin
  • Has been shown to stop the growth of new blood vessels in tumors

Through chakra vision, the color orange represents the sacral center, or Svadhisthana in sanskirt. The gift of this chakra is experiencing our lives through feelings and sensations and passion. It is also known as our wellspring of creativity; as passion is the fuel for creative energy. As a society due to unreal standards, we tend to have many (often hidden) issues with our sacral centre, the source of feelings, enjoyments and sensuality.

Svadhisthana inquiring...

How do you love your body on a daily basis?

What do you do to feel connected to Mother Earth?
